Position: Full-Time ER Veterinary Assistant
Join the Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre as a full-time ER Veterinary Assistant in Calgary, AB. Support veterinarians in patient care and ensure a comfortable environment for each pet.

VCA Canada is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant in Calgary for its 24-hour emergency hospital. In this hands-on role, you will assist AHTs and veterinarians with patient assessments, and provide both physical and emotional support to animals in need. Your organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment will be essential for maintaining excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist AHTs in restraining animals for treatment

• Help collect samples and conduct ultrasounds

• Provide emotional support to patients

• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas

• Support general maintenance of the ICU and hospital

Requirements:

• Energetic and self-motivated personality

• Strong organizational skills for multitasking

• Excellent communication skills in a team setting

• Ability to work 40 hours weekly on rotating 12-hour shifts

• Passion for animal care and public service
