Veterinary Education in Small Animal Surgery

In this full-time academic role, you will be responsible for imparting knowledge related to small animal surgical skills through didactic lectures and practical labs. Your position will also involve clinical teaching within the veterinary teaching hospital and collaborative practices. Responsibilities include 10-20% service roles based on rank.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging lectures on surgical techniques and practices
• Supervise clinical skills laboratories and practical training
• Guide students during clinical rotations in veterinary settings
• Collaborate with partner practices for enhanced learning
• Involve in faculty service and community outreach initiatives
Requirements:
• Hold a DVM or equivalent and advanced surgical training
• Board certification (ACVS or ECVS) is a preferred qualification
• A graduate degree in educational or clinical research is advantageous
• Eligibility for licensure as a veterinarian in Alberta
• Proven effectiveness in teaching and student interaction
