Compounding Assistant – Onsite, Calgary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated assistant to join our team at BVR Veterinary Supplies in Calgary. The role is full‑time, on‑site, 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday).

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Lead RVT, the Compounding Assistant composes, packages, and labels veterinary pharmaceutical products.
- Assist in compounding, packaging, labeling, weighing, filling, capping, and stacking of products following strict quality processes.
- Adhere to SOPs, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and work instructions.
- Complete required paperwork including logbooks, work orders, and other documentation.
- Follow company policies as described in the Employee Handbook.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe workspace.
- Maintain a clean working area; routinely clean utensils and equipment.
- Perform heavy lifting and repetitive movements; lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Work safely with hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment.
- Other related duties as required.
- Veterinary Technician Assistant or Pharmacy Assistant education and background.
- Experience with sterile products or sterile (surgical) workspace is an asset.
- Experience in the medical, veterinary, or pharmacy industry preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; high functioning level of English required.
- Basic chemistry knowledge considered an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and thrives in a busy team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with focus on lab cleanliness and sterility.
- Comfortable with multitasking and adapting to changing priorities.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Pro‑active in taking on repetitive daily tasks.

- Rigorously applies rules, regulatory requirements, procedures, and processes.
- Works independently with minimal oversight and collaborates as part of the team.

- Enthusiastic, passionate, and takes pride in work accomplishments.
- Physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for long periods.

- On‑site in SE Calgary.
- 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday).
- Shift options:
Evening 2:30‑11pm or Day 8:00‑4:30pm.
