The Senior Wildlife Biologist at Canacre will oversee wildlife-related activities in various jurisdictions. Responsibilities include conducting desktop reviews, leading field surveys, and ensuring compliance with wildlife regulations. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders while providing recommendations for conservation and management of wildlife resources. Your expertise will be critical in all project phases from routing and siting to post-construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead wildlife habitat assessments and targeted species surveys
• Oversee field programs during construction activities
• Develop mitigation measures for wildlife impacts
• Prepare wildlife reports and permit applications
• Consult with contractors, regulators, and Indigenous communities
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in wildlife biology
• Post-secondary degree in Biology or Environmental Science
• Professional designation in relevant biological field
• Proven experience in Environmental Assessments
• Strong communication and analytical skills
