Winter Equipment Operator

Position: Winter Equipment Operator Banff Centre
Location: Banff

Join Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity as a Seasonal Equipment Operator from November to March. Engage in grounds maintenance, snow removal, and landscape construction to ensure campus safety during winter.

This term role focuses on physical facilities management, ensuring safe conditions on campus amid winter weather. Key responsibilities include operating light to heavy equipment, performing snow removal, and maintaining landscapes. Ideal candidates possess a solid background in grounds keeping and horticulture, ensuring a well-kept environment for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct snow removal using various tools and machines

• Maintain grounds including lawns, flower pots, and trees

• Operate light to heavy equipment for multiple tasks

• Perform minor repairs on mobile and small machinery

• Assist various trades with set-ups or breakdowns

Requirements:

• Minimum two years in grounds keeping or landscaping

• Knowledge of horticultural practices and equipment operation

• Class “5” Alberta driver’s license

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather

• Strong physical endurance for demanding tasks
