Laboratory Technician III

Laboratory Technician III – Oil and Gas Sector (Calgary, Alberta)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting a Laboratory Technician III to support laboratory operations in the Oil and Gas sector by performing routine and non‑routine laboratory analysis/wet chemistry on product and in‑process samples. The role supports plant operations for quality assurance/control.

• Perform calibration and maintenance of test equipment
• Prepare samples, ensure accurate data generation, and maintain records per standard operating procedures
• Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues
• Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and set preparation standards
• Assist in test design, logistics, execution, reporting and analysis
• Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, equipment usage, material consumption, results and conclusions
• Establish and maintain procedural test standards
• Assist in inventory management to meet test requirements
  
  Maintain and update testing database and matrices
• Contribute to technical investigations, execution resource planning, and provide technical support to testing personnel
• Carry out LIMS data entry and participate in TMAs, LPOs, and LPSAs
• Prepare laboratory equipment for tests, troubleshoot machines, and re‑analyze when tests are out of control
• Perform various tests on jet fuel, gasoline, diesel, and other fuel types to ensure ready downstream products

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical services role related to completion tools
• Experience with LIMS and laboratory instrumentation
• Knowledge of safety procedures including LPSAs, TMAs, and LPOs
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed documentation

Total rewards: $40.00 per hour

12‑month contract position

5 days on / 2 days off schedule
