YMCA Calgary seeks a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join its team on a 12-month full-time contract. In this pivotal role, you will implement safety management programs, support incident responses, and deliver crucial training sessions. Your work will directly impact the safety and well-being of staff, volunteers, and families across our numerous health and wellness facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on Alberta OHS compliance and safety procedures

• Conduct audits and inspections to assess hazards

• Collaborate with staff on safe work practices

• Lead investigations into safety incidents and hazards

• Deliver face-to-face health and safety training

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in occupational health and safety

• Degree or certification in Health, Safety and Environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification

• Clear Police Information Check required
