Position Overview
The Quality Control Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of generated design review comments. This person will thoroughly check output for errors, inconsistencies, and alignment with industry standards. YourResponsibilities
- Review, verify, and judge the severity of generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Identify construction, code, drafting, and coordination conflicts, as well as missing information in drawings across all disciplines.
- Ensure a high level of drawing accuracy, coordination, and constructability in outputs that meet the requirements of contractors, architects, and real estate developers.
- Document findings, categorize issues, and track trends in output errors or missed issues.
- Generate reports on QA outcomes to inform ongoing AI model training and improvements.
- Work closely with the product team to understand the intended functionality of AI features and provide feedback on potential improvements based on real-world QA findings.
- Participate in coordination meetings and technical discussions.
- Play an active role in the development and improvement of internal software tools.
- Minimum 2 years of proven Canadian work experience in quality control within the construction or architecture industry, specifically in a design or project management capacity.
- 2–5 years of drafting experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, applicable codes, and construction methods and processes.
- Strong ability to read and understand drawings across disciplines, including architectural, structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), civil, and landscape.
- Meticulous attention to detail for spotting inconsistencies, errors, and quality issues in complex outputs.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Bluebeam.
- Strong communication skills with ability to clearly document findings and communicate effectively with remote teams.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads, with flexibility to work extended hours when required.
- Willingness to complete an in-person technical assessment covering all disciplines as part of the interview process.
- Revit knowledge.
- Procore experience.
- Analytical mindset with ability to analyze patterns in errors and suggest improvements to AI training data.
