Laboratory Technician - Hydrocarbon

Please note, for this position occasional evenings and weekend availability is required.

• Operate instruments such as GC-FID
  , GC-TCD
  , and GC-SCD
  .
• Perform samples, reagents, and calibrations preparations as directed.
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshooting as necessary.
• Data Management & Quality Assurance
• Compile, verify, and validate data records.
• Ensure quality assurance standards and turnaround times are met, following all SOPs and QC guidelines.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Report and document results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform basic analysis.
• Report results.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided.
• Experience in GC & general lab skills is essential.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
