Quality Assurance Manager - Salary: $82,800 – $92,000 annually (based on market, experience, and internal equity)
- Manage overall ingredients, product, and package quality to meet all standards and specifications.
- Establish operational procedures in cooperation with QA, Production & Maintenance teams.
- Ensure all QA equipment is in good operating order.
- Maintain compliance with corporate, federal, and provincial policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Monitor production processes, adjust equipment, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Supervise QA technicians in the lab and syrup room.
- Hire, train, evaluate, develop, and monitor QA employees.
- Review and maintain proper documentation for compliance.
- Conduct internal audits on quality, food safety, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage water treatment and effluent processes.
- Ensure all work activities comply with Environmental Health & Safety standards.
- Participate in and support external audits for quality and food safety certification.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision‑making skills.
- Experience in an ISO/food‑safety environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems collaboratively.
- Labor relations/union experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of water treatment systems in the food and beverage industry.
- HACCP and FSSC 22000 knowledge/experience.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience preferred.
- Basic computer and database application skills.
