You’ll Do Role

This role leads CoolIT Systems’ evening shift Quality Control operations, overseeing Incoming, In–Process, and Outgoing Quality Control activities. The QC Lead ensures product quality across all inspection stages, supports production flow, manages non‑conforming materials, and serves as the primary quality contact during night shift operations. This hands‑on leadership role requires strong coordination, sound judgment, and real‑time decision‑making to maintain quality standards while minimizing production disruptions.

Responsibilities

Lead Evening Shift Quality Control Operations
  • Oversee all IQC, IPQC, and OQC activities during the night shift, ensuring coverage across incoming, in‑process, and final inspections.
  • Prioritize inspection activities based on production needs, shipment schedules, and incoming material criticality.
  • Act as the primary quality representative during night operations, making real‑time decisions to support production continuity.
Perform and Support Inspections
  • Perform and support inspections as needed, including incoming materials, in‑process checks, and final product verification.
  • Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
  • Review inspection results and ensure accurate and complete documentation in quality systems.
Manage Non‑Conforming Materials and MRB
  • Oversee identification, segregation, and documentation of non‑conforming materials across IQC, IPQC, and OQC.
  • Manage MRB cage activities during the shift, ensuring proper traceability and containment.
  • Initiate escalation and support disposition of non‑conforming materials in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.
Support Production and Shipment Readiness
  • Ensure timely inspection and release of materials to avoid production delays.
  • Verify that finished goods meet all quality, visual, and documentation requirements prior to shipment.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve quality‑related blockers.
Drive Communication and Escalation
  • Communicate critical quality issues to day shift leadership, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Maintain clear shift handover notes, including open issues, risks, and priorities.
  • Escalate high‑risk issues impacting product quality, customer requirements, or shipment timelines.
Maintain Documentation and Compliance
  • Ensure all inspection records, checklists, and reports are properly completed and traceable.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to established work instructions, SOPs, and quality control plans.
Support Continuous Improvement
  • Identify recurring defects, process gaps, or inefficiencies observed during the shift.
  • Provide feedback to Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to support corrective actions.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and containment actions as required.
Team Support and Leadership
  • Provide guidance and support to inspectors during the night shift, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members when required.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality ownership, and attention to detail.
Who You Are Basic Qualifications
  • 2‑5 years of experience in quality control (IQC, IPQC, or OQC) in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of inspection techniques, visual standards, and process controls
