Food Safety Technician at Alberta Commissary

The Alberta Commissary is seeking a skilled Technician for Food Safety and Quality Assurance. This on-site role focuses on enhancing food safety programs while conducting microbiological testing to meet regulatory standards. You'll troubleshoot quality issues, support plant sanitation, and actively engage in process improvement initiatives to ensure product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and enhance food safety and quality programs
• Conduct microbiological testing on food samples
• Ensure compliance with product safety and sanitation standards
• Resolve quality issues using analytical testing
• Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
• 1–2 years food processing experience, ideally with RTE products
• Laboratory experience in microbiology testing
• Knowledge of SPC, GMPs, and HACCP plans
• Excellent communication and Microsoft Suite skills
