Quality Control Inspector at Gambles

Join Gambles Group of Companies as a Quality Control Inspector in Calgary, Alberta. This role focuses on inspecting produce and ensuring it meets CFIA/USDA standards while supporting the sales and ripening teams.

Located at the Calgary Distribution Centre, this position reports to the Operations Manager and requires you to verify the quality of inbound and outbound shipments. You'll conduct assessments during live inbound receiving and maintain Gambles’ quality specifications. Your expertise will be key in helping ensure the freshness and safety of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality checks during inbound receiving

• Fulfill quality-reporting requests on various metrics

• Handle rejection assessments and related processes

• Coordinate required CFIA inspections

• Support the Ripening team as necessary

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in food science or agriculture

• Knowledge of CFIA grading standards preferred

• Strong English communication skills required

• Familiarity with PPE and safety regulations

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours
