Overview

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a temporary Technician, QC for a six month term. This role supports the Quality team with day-to-day quality control activities and validation studies, providing hands-on experience in quality systems, inspection processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support inspection and testing activities in accordance with established quality procedures.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to support reporting and improvement efforts.
  • Track calibration and document control processes.
  • Review quality records and documentation (inspection reports, SOPs, work instructions).
  • Assist with inspection and testing of materials, components, or finished products according to established procedures.
  • Facilitate quality validation studies.
  • Prepare QC samples and arrange shipment of samples to external and internal laboratories.
  • Organize and maintain laboratory materials, supplies, and work areas.
  • Act as the liaison between QC staff and office leadership.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program (Quality, Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of quality principles (e.g., inspection, root cause, continuous improvement) is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday; 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., or 10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.; shift may vary from 8 to 10 hours per day. Must be flexible.

Hourly rate: $32.69.
