Quality Engineer – HVAC Manufacturing

We are seeking a Quality Engineer – HVAC Manufacturing to support our HVAC manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, improving manufacturing processes, and supporting root cause investigations and driving continuous improvement across the production floor. The ideal candidate brings strong HVAC knowledge, hands‑on manufacturing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production and leadership teams.
WORKSCHEDULE
Monday to Friday | Day Shift
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and inspection processes for HVAC equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability
- Review and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications
- Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Lead or support internal audits, supplier audits, and customer quality reviews
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support Lean/5S initiatives
- Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices
- Manage non-conformance reporting (NCR) and ensure timely resolution of quality issues
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role (HVAC experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to product excellence
- Experience with ISO standards, quality audits, or QMS systems is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Preferred Experience:
- HVAC manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication background
- Experience working in a fast‑paced production environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems and digital quality reporting tools
