Compliance Assurance Specialist in Alberta

This position is pivotal in strengthening the AER's compliance assurance program. You'll act as a subject matter expert, assessing licensee compliance and engaging stakeholders to foster effective solutions. The role demands analytical skills for complex compliance evaluations, in addition to collaboration across various teams to uphold Alberta's energy mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct holistic assessments on identified licensees

• Lead compliance initiatives and regulatory actions

• Offer advice for inspections, audits, and investigations

• Create tools and procedures for compliance assurance

• Support continuous improvement of compliance processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields

• 5+ years experience in environmental or regulatory roles

• Understanding of Liability Management Framework

• Knowledge of AER priorities and legislation

• Ability to manage multiple compliance files efficiently
