Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Research Analyst to provide research, data analysis, and reporting support for a Calgary-based professional services team. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to deliver insights that support decision-making and enhance overall research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and support recurring and ad hoc research deliverables, including market summaries, reports, presentations, and written commentary.
Assist with the collection, validation, and analysis of periodic market and industry data.
Monitor market trends, industry activity, and relevant current events, incorporating findings into ongoing research initiatives.
Gather information from multiple sources and maintain accurate records within internal databases and research tools.
Analyze data and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations through concise summary documents and presentations.
Participate in collaborative meetings with internal teams to support research and business objectives.
Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Utilize data management, analysis, and query tools to support research initiatives.
Support data quality, consistency, and documentation standards across research outputs.
Identify opportunities to improve research processes, efficiency, and overall quality of deliverables.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Undergraduate degree required; education in Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field is considered an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a research, analytics, or data‑focused role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with data visualization, reporting tools, or geographic data tools is considered an asset.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
