This fixed-term position is for approximately six months with the opportunity for extension. In this role, you will support neuroscience research projects through skilled laboratory techniques, including neuronal culture and brain tissue processing. Your technical expertise will help maintain an organized lab and contribute to experimental design under the Principal Investigator’s guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle animals and perform tissue collection per protocols
• Establish and maintain neuronal cell cultures
• Conduct brain sectioning, perfusion-fixation, and immunostaining
• Utilize fluorescence and confocal microscopy for image analysis
• Maintain lab records and inventory compliance
Requirements:
• BSc in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in relevant techniques
• Proficiency in IHC/IF staining and brain sectioning
• WHMIS certification mandatory
• Strong organizational and communication skills
