Position: Laboratory Assistant at Alberta's Tomorrow Project
Join Alberta's Tomorrow Project as a Laboratory Assistant I, working weekday mornings from 7 AM to 12 PM in the Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Contribute to crucial research by collecting and processing biosamples.

In this role, you will support research initiatives by performing various laboratory functions such as specimen sorting, lab equipment sanitization, and basic testing. Reporting to the Research Operations Lead, your work will be essential to tracking data related to cancer and chronic diseases while aiding in clerical tasks and patient queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and process biosamples for research studies

• Clean and sanitize laboratory equipment regularly

• Sort and receive specimens accurately

• Perform basic lab tests as required

• Assist with data entry and patient queries

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent

• Previous phlebotomy experience

• TDG certification for dry ice handling

• WHMIS training preferred
