Take on a rewarding role as a Clinical Research Nurse in the Cumming School of Medicine at University of Calgary's Endocrinology unit. Support critical research processes and interact with patients.
This part-time position is structured around an approximate 21-hour workweek, reporting to the Team Leader and working alongside the Principal Investigator. Your primary focus will be on the Clinical Trials Unit located at the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre. This role involves careful management of study protocols and accurate participant communications to enhance research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess trial protocols and determine execution timelines
• Facilitate participant recruitment with the research team
• Liaising with tech sponsors to ensure resource availability
• Execute study visits including data collection and documentation
• Document and communicate any study-related adverse events
Requirements:
• Must be a Registered Nurse in Alberta
• CITI certification in Good Clinical Practice needed
• Advanced knowledge of diabetes and related conditions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills essential
• Experience with electronic data management systems required
