Synergy Land & Environmental Services seeks an Intermediate Archaeologist for a full-time role in Fort St. John, BC. Lead hands-on assessments and mentor emerging archaeologists in this dynamic position.
As a candidate with three or more years of experience, you will supervise archaeological field programs and ensure the respectful liaison with Indigenous communities. This role requires a collaborative spirit and strong leadership skills to guide junior staff effectively while managing challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise archaeological field assessments and programs
• Record and catalog traditional use and archaeological sites
• Perform pre- and post-impact assessments
• Uphold safety standards in the field
• Mentor junior archaeologists and support project logistics
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in related fields
• Over 3 years of field archaeology experience
• Proven field program leadership skills
• First Aid & H2S certification required
• Class 5 driver’s license for travel needs
