Enhance Indigenous research efforts as the Indigenous Research Coordinator (Grants). This pivotal role facilitates access to funding and promotes Indigenous culture within the university environment.
In this position, the Indigenous Research Coordinator (Grants) supports faculty with their research aspirations by providing consultations and guidance on Indigenous Data Sovereignty. This role emphasizes cultural protocols, aims to build trust, and contributes to the success of community-centered research projects and applications for funding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate consultations for Indigenous research projects
• Provide guidance on data sovereignty principles
• Review Indigenous research funding applications
• Create resources and documentation for IDS
• Organise community practice sessions and workshops
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree required
• 2–3 years in research support or activities
• Understanding of community-based research
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Recognition as a trusted colleague by Indigenous communities
Enable Indigenous faculty to thrive and support community-based research projects effectively.
