Support Dr. Kristen Schaffer in pioneering arts integration research as a Research Assistant. This role begins September 2026 and focuses on data collection and analysis.
This Research Assistant position is dedicated to a critical inquiry study examining the role of artists-in-residence in education. Your responsibilities will involve managing participant consent, facilitating data collection during an 8-week class, and contributing to qualitative research analysis. Collaborate closely with the course instructor and artist, providing insights and documentation throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Introduce and manage participant consent confidentiality
• Document classroom activities through audio/visual means
• Observe classes and record reflective field notes
• Collaborate on research design and data management
• Assist in qualitative analysis and research dissemination
Requirements:
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree
• Completion of TCPS 2: CORE-2022 Certification required
• 1-6 months of related research experience
• Strong skills in data organization and security
• Familiarity with survey tools and documentation software
