University Research Assistant

Position: University Research Assistant Role
Join the University of Calgary as a part-time Research Assistant dedicated to the PREPARED study on respiratory viruses. Play a key role in participant recruitment, data collection, and maintaining research compliance.

This role, reporting directly to the Research Manager, is focused on a six-month, fixed-term research project, with opportunities for extension contingent on funding. Key tasks include managing administrative duties, ensuring data accuracy, and fostering relationships with team members and participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute general administrative support for the research team

• Manage communication between internal staff and external stakeholders

• Create informative presentations for scientific events

• Facilitate participant recruitment and documentation processes

• Collect data from participants following established protocols

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or related

• Minimum of 2 years pertinent research experience

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of research ethics and regulations

• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
