The Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy seeks a qualified individual for a two-year postdoctoral scholar position starting in spring 2027. Applicants should possess a PhD in Anthropology or related fields and exhibit proficiency in quantitative methods and statistical software. Candidates will engage in data analysis to investigate skeletal microarchitecture and will contribute to publications and grant applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee behavioral data collection for Cayo Santiago
• Utilize microCT scans of rhesus macaque bones
• Quantify trabecular bone microarchitecture using coding pipelines
• Characterize cortical bone morphology via statistical models
• Assist in preparing grants and publishing manuscripts
Requirements:
• PhD in relevant field like Anthropology or Zoology
• Experience with quantitative research methods
• Proficient in R, SAS, and Python
• Track record of publications and scholarly presentations
• Ability to work independently and in teams
Contribute to pivotal research shaping the future of primate skeletal health at the Cumming School of Medicine.
