Child Health Research Associate at University

Join the Department of Anaesthesia at the University of Calgary as a Research Associate focusing on child pain and health systems. This full-time role emphasizes grant-funded projects enhancing pediatric health outcomes.

This position reports directly to the Principal Investigator and is critical for executing and evaluating national projects aimed at child pain and healthcare improvements. Responsibilities include overseeing internal staff and collaborating with external partners, patients, and caregivers to drive effective project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead national grant-funded research projects focused on pediatric pain

• Supervise and mentor research staff and project personnel

• Foster collaboration for engagement across healthcare projects

• Develop strategic partnerships with stakeholders in health systems

• Ensure coherence of research and knowledge mobilization plans

Requirements:

• PhD in public health, psychology, or related fields

• 3+ years managing research projects and teams

• Strong background in child health and implementation science

• Expertise in mixed methods research

• Excellent communication skills in English;
French is an asset
