The Senior Research Scientist role at Intermap involves ownership of the SAR research roadmap, advancing capabilities in internal STAR systems and satellite data. You’ll engage in developing advanced algorithms and troubleshooting existing SAR and IFSAR systems to enhance accuracy and performance across applications such as feature extraction and mapping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose and lead independent SAR-based research initiatives

• Design and improve PolSAR applications through advanced algorithms

• Support troubleshooting of existing SAR processing algorithms

• Lead proposals for US Federal Agency initiatives

• Mentor interns and other team members on related projects

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

• Experience with SAR signal processing and algorithm development

• Strong programming skills in C++, MATLAB, or Python

• Knowledge of digital image processing techniques

• Experience with IFSAR, InSAR, or PolSAR processing
