Join Quantum City as a Senior Scientist-in-Residence and advance quantum scientific outreach. This full-time position in Calgary involves engaging with corporations to develop impactful quantum technologies.
As part of UCalgary’s initiative, you'll work within Quantum City to foster a quantum innovation hub.
Your role revolves around translating quantum technologies for various audiences and leading corporate research projects. Engage with researchers and corporate partners to define their quantum needs while mentoring the next generation of scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and articulate corporate quantum research goals
• Simplify quantum scientific concepts for diverse stakeholders
• Support and mentor postdoctoral fellows and trainees
• Contribute to the attraction of companies to Quantum City
• Oversee and manage diverse research projects
Requirements:
• Earned Ph.D. in physics, engineering, or similar fields
• Significant research experience in quantum science
• Demonstrated leadership in scientific projects
• Strong ability to communicate complex ideas
• Skills in project management and time efficiency
