The Yang Laboratory within the Department of Medical Genetics is seeking a dynamic researcher ready to design and execute projects targeting brain development and aging mechanisms. This role encourages scientific independence, enabling scholars to advance existing research or explore new ideas tailored to their interests, supported by excellent resources and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent research within lab thematic areas
• Write manuscripts for publication and assist in grants
• Present findings at various academic gatherings
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate research students
• Collaborate with other researchers to promote a supportive lab culture
Requirements:
• PhD in a relevant discipline (obtained in past 5 years)
• Proven research track record with peer-reviewed publications
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques
• Familiarity with single-cell transcriptomics is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
