CURA is seeking a chemist who specializes in synthesis and electrochemistry to contribute to decarbonizing cement production. You will closely collaborate with the CTO and electrochemistry team to enhance our molecular library. Your work will revolve around understanding structure-property relationships to significantly boost our electrolyte platform's efficiency and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead molecular design and synthesis initiatives
• Operate air-free synthesis techniques for sensitive chemistries
• Characterize compounds via NMR, UV-Vis, FTIR, and mass spectrometries
• Evaluate electrochemical performance with cyclic voltammetry and testing
• Build a comprehensive database to enhance energy efficiency
Requirements:
• PhD or Master's in organic chemistry or electrochemistry
• Proven expertise in synthetic chemistry and air-sensitive techniques
• Proficient in electrochemical techniques and characterization methods
• Excellent scientific communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
