Research Assistant

Position: Research Assistant at SAIT
Join SAIT's Applied Research team as a Research Assistant focused on project coordination and laboratory support. In this role, you'll contribute to innovative research that drives industry advancements.

As a key part of the Applied Research and Innovation Services, you will assist project managers in executing applied research activities within the Centre for Innovation and Research in Advanced Manufacturing and Materials (CIRAMM). This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in applied research, laboratory procedures, and collaborative work. You will ensure project deliverables are met efficiently while supporting a variety of research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate applied research projects with industry partners

• Maintain project schedules and track resource requirements

• Prepare and execute lab tests while ensuring compliance

• Document project phases and create summary reports

• Support strategic research goals with additional tasks

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree with relevant research experience

• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proven problem-solving and organizational abilities

• Ability to work independently and within teams
