The University of Calgary seeks a Research Assistant to support environmental analysis through geospatial technologies. This full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering and expertise in processing VIIRS and MODIS data. You will work under the Principal Investigator, managing project timelines while synthesizing research into reports and funding proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute wildfire management activities with geo-spatial technologies
• Produce high-quality technical reports and manuscripts
• Proactively manage project timelines and deadlines
• Guide and supervise junior researchers
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering or related field
• Experience conducting research independently
• Expertise in processing wildfire management data
• Excellent communication skills in research documentation
Support environmental research and influence wildfire response strategies through your analytical skills.
