Postdoctoral Research Position in CMOS IC Design for Quantum Applications
We are seeking an outstanding recent PhD graduate with hands-on experience in CMOS integrated circuit (IC) design to join our research team developing next-generation integrated circuits for quantum applications.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, simulation, fabrication, and experimental validation of advanced CMOS ICs for cryogenic and quantum systems. Candidates must have demonstrated practical experience in CMOS IC design, including successful silicon validation of fabricated circuits.
Required qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, completed recently.
- Demonstrated experience with fabricated ICs, including laboratory characterization and silicon validation.
- Strong background in analog, RF, mixed-signal, or cryogenic CMOS circuit design is an asset.
- Experience with industry-standard IC design tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso and related simulation tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
The position is intended for candidates who are eligible for the Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) program.
International applicants (who are not Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or protected persons) are eligible provided they satisfy one of the following conditions:
- are currently enrolled in a doctoral or health professional degree program at a Canadian institution;
- have previously completed a doctoral or health professional degree at a Canadian institution; or
- are currently conducting postdoctoral research at a Canadian institution.
Applicants should indicate how they meet the eligibility requirements in their application.
The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge CMOS technologies for quantum computing and sensing applications within a collaborative research environment and with access to state-of-the-art IC design and measurement facilities.
This appointment is conditional upon the candidate being eligible for and successfully obtaining a Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) ()
Final date to receive applications:
September 10.
