Join MEC as a Merchandise Analyst, supporting the Merchant team in key merchandising activities. This hybrid or remote role focuses on purchase order management, analysis, and vendor coordination to enhance sales performance.
As a Merchandise Analyst at MEC, you will assist with purchase orders, oversee product setup, and conduct essential reporting. Your experience in retail operations or inventory management will be invaluable as you work closely with merchants to support promotional execution and assortment planning. The role requires a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and effective communication in cross-functional settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Issue and manage purchase orders within Open-to-Buy parameters
• Review and coordinate PO status and vendor confirmations
• Analyze data to build reports for merchandise decisions
• Support merchants with product setup and promotional events
• Assist in resolving inbound PO and product discrepancies
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree/diploma preferred
• 1+ years in merchandising or retail operations
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Excellent time-management and analytical skills
• Communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
