Grocery Associate - Temp Part Time

Position Summary

Working as a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast‑paced retail environment. In this role, you will deliver excellent customer service by living Walmart’s values, keeping the grocery area clean, organized, and well zoned, and supporting stocking and sales activities. You help ensure the store is always ready for customers and contribute to a positive, dependable shopping experience.

• Maintain Grocery Department Standards – keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer‑ready.
• Stock Rotation and Product Quality – rotates merchandise regularly, removes expired or damaged products, and maintains freshness and quality.
• Pricing, Signing, and Inventory Accuracy – ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced, and follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Food Safety and Sanitation – follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Stocking and Modular Execution – ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business, stocking merchandise and picks, completing down‑stocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Health and Safety Compliance – follows all Health and Safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard‑free workplace.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) – is open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

• High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment – manages overnight hours effectively and plans accordingly to stay energized and focused.
• Physical Demands – performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Repetitive Tasks – stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
