Receptionist, Retail

Adecco is currently hiring a Receptionist for a full-time opportunity in a retail and hospitality environment in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in retail sales, customer service, merchandising, reception, administration, and point-of-sale (POS) systems who enjoy engaging with customers and creating exceptional guest experiences.

• Pay Rate: $21/hour

Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales

• Deliver exceptional customer service and product recommendations.

• Process sales transactions and operate the POS system.

• Support promotions, product launches, and in-store events.

• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Merchandising & Inventory

• Maintain product displays and merchandising standards.

• Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, and support inventory counts.

• Ensure products are organized and accurately stored.

Reception & Operations

• Welcome visitors, answer phones, and process customer orders.

• Coordinate deliveries and support general administrative tasks.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or sales.

• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience with POS systems and cash handling is an asset.

• Retail beverage, food service, hospitality, or CPG experience is an asset.

• Customer-focused, proactive, and team-oriented.

• Pro Serve Certification required.

• Ability to lift up to 37 kg (82 lbs.) when required.

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
