College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience:
5 years or more
Work setting:
On site at an industrial/commercial environment in an urban area. Remote work is not an option.
- Estimate costs of installing equipment
- Oversee the preparation of sales and orders
- Promote sales to existing clients
- Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
- Identify and solicit potential clients
- Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
- Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of goods or service
- Conduct sales transactions
- Prepare and administer sales contracts
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
- Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client’s needs
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
- Reach to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support
- Resolve product and service related problems
- Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
- Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services
- Provide customer service
- Computer and technology knowledge:
Electronic mail, Spreadsheet, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Word - Sales experience:
Industrial machinery and equipment - Work conditions:
Fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking - Personal suitability:
