AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician for an entry-level opportunity. The role is a junior level position and will assist in data collection and running of Oil Sands Particle Size Distribution Analysis and MBI tests and sample preparation. This position will have an anticipated end date July 30 2026.

• Carry out lab testing according to standards and lab procedures.
• Report lab observations to the Lab supervisor.
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

• Able to lift up to 20 pounds and traverse uneven terrain.
• Able to work overtime, and weekends, if needed.
• Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to procedure
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication
• Experience working in a laboratory setting (not required but considered an asset)
• 1+ years of soils, aggregate, and/or concrete testing experience (not required but considered an asset)

This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. Employees will interact with dust, noise and chemicals during shifts. PPE is required where applicable.
