Ready to suit up as a Casual Bilingual Surveillance Security Guard
What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.
As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Answer calls on the security landline phone, mobile phones, intercom and radio systemLiaison with contractor security personnel and client regarding security activities, incidents, search programs, access control programs and overall safetyMonitor systems and alarms including, but not limited to:
Security systems Fire alarm systems Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras; and 911 emergency dispatchDispatch emergency calls to clients EH&S emergency service to manage fire, rescue, medical and the emergency command centre at all applicable sites.Dispatch security alarms, events and activities to all sitesReport security incidents and ensure all incidents have been accurately documents in the system and reported to the appropriate individualTrack all alarms and resolve any alarms relating to card problemsReport on patrols using the shift report template and the electronic tour applicationGenerate attendance reports in the event of an emergency conditionQualifications for Casual Bilingual Surveillance Security Guard
Valid Alberta Security LicenseFluent in both English and FrenchHold a high school diploma or equivalentStrong computer and typing skills, proficient with Microsoft OfficeExperience with monitoring and operation of video and surveillance systemsMinimum 1 year experience in Control CentreFlexible to work days and nights; casual; 8 - 12 hours shiftsSuccessful candidates must demonstrate proficiency through a typing assessment during the recruitment process.
