This is a full-time, part-time, casual and oncall on-site Security Professional role based in Calgary, AB. The Security Professional will provide visible, proactive security presence, monitor assigned areas, and enforce site-specific security protocols to protect people, property, and assets. Daily responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring access control points, responding to incidents and alarms, documenting observations and reports, and escalating issues according to established procedures.
The role involves coordinating with clients, team members, and external stakeholders to maintain a safe environment, support event or site operations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards. The Security Professional will also participate in briefings, ongoing training, and post-incident reviews to maintain readiness and continuously improve security operations.
- Strong Physical Security skills, including access control, patrolling, incident response, and crowd management.
- Foundational knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles to support protection of digital assets and sensitive information.
- Understanding of Network Security concepts, including secure network practices and awareness of common threats.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal reporting, accurate written documentation, and professional client interaction.
- Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related protective services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain high situational awareness in dynamic environments.
- Willingness and physical ability to work on-site, stand or patrol for extended periods, and respond rapidly to incidents.
- Relevant security licensing or certifications (or eligibility to obtain them) in accordance with local regulations in Alberta.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all security operations.
