The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo seeks a fixed-term, on-call Security Guard 1. You will be responsible for patrolling, incident response, and providing excellent customer service.

Your role is vital in enforcing security procedures and maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the zoo

• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems for security threats

• Respond to incidents and assist with emergency coordination

• Enforce policies and assist in crowd control as needed

• Maintain professional communication with staff and guests

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta Individual Security License is a must

• 1+ years of security or administrative experience preferred

• Class 5 Driver’s License required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security log management

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
