Schedule:
1100‑2130, Wednesday to Saturday
Work Setting:
On‑site
- Ensure all security guards adhere to site training requirements.
- Assist the Security Supervisor with site training requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of daily security operations at the property, including monitoring and operating CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and intrusion alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with WHMIS and OH&S requirements.
- Complete responsibilities for subordinate staff as circumstances require.
- Ensure managers and client general standards at the property are met.
- Act as primary point of contact for the client during the shift when needed.
- Act with professionalism and integrity.
- Provide excellent service to internal and external clients.
- Demonstrate an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace.
- Motivate, support, and inspire direct reports, building strong cohesive teams.
- Demonstrate commitment to team goals and objectives.
- Drive superior performance and meet objectives and deadlines.
- Be accountable and embrace a learning environment.
- 3+ years of security experience.
- Valid Alberta Security License.
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to work effectively with employee groups and build partnerships at all levels of the organization.
- Flexible and adaptable when dealing with diverse situations and people.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work outdoors, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 20+ lbs.
- Physically able to perform first aid and assist with medical emergencies, de‑escalation situations, and extensive patrols covering 15+ km per shift.
- Ability to complete all required Paladin training and certifications within three months of hire.
- Experience coordinating emergency response activities.
