Position: Overnight Event Security Guard (Hiring Immediately)
Event Security Guard - Temporary Assignment

Location:
BMO Centre (Stampede Grounds)
1912 Flores LaDue Parade SE, Calgary, AB

Pay Rate:
$19.00 per hour

Shift Date & Time:
Friday, July 24
2:00 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m. (14-hour shift)

Breaks & Amenities:

  • Two breaks will be provided during the shift.
  • Food and beverages will be provided.
Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Guards for a one-day event assignment at the BMO Centre on the Calgary Stampede Grounds. No prior experience with metal detection wands is required, as full training and all necessary equipment will be provided on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control access to the venue and designated areas.
  • Screen attendees using handheld metal detection wands.
  • Monitor entry points and ensure compliance with event security procedures.
  • Provide professional customer service while interacting with guests.
  • Report any security concerns or incidents to supervisors.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Valid security licence required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
