Keno Hill Mine Emergency Response Leader

Take on a critical role as Mine Rescue and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator with Hecla Mining. This full-time position offers a chance to lead safety initiatives and emergency preparedness in a FIFO capacity.

As a central member of the Health and Safety team based in Calgary, Alberta, you will manage training, emergency response programs, and the Mine Rescue Team. This role requires seasoned expertise in underground mining and will focus on enhancing safety protocols, preparing for emergencies, and training site employees on critical response procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage emergency procedures for various scenarios

• Instruct rescue team training and incident management

• Participate in emergency drills to evaluate readiness

• Inspect and manage emergency response equipment

• Foster a proactive safety culture among staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in underground mining

• 2+ years as a mine rescue team instructor

• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR C

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
