This relief role at Calgary Alternative Support Services focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities. You will establish respectful relationships while guiding clients through their Individual Support Plans (ISP). Key skills required include strong communication, adaptability, and a willingness to promote independence through daily living support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build positive working relationships with clients
• Assist in monitoring goals in Individual Support Plans
• Support clients in living independently and community engagement
• Maintain professional boundaries and relationships with guardians
• Complete necessary paperwork and adhere to safety policies
Requirements:
• Post secondary education in Human Services
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required
• Valid police information check for vulnerable sectors
• Vehicle access and valid driver's license preferred
