Community Support Worker

Overview

We are seeking multiple compassionate and dedicated Support Workers MALES AND FEMALES to join our team who drive and has evening availability to work in the evenings and overnight, preferably experiennice with g tube . The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various setting home care environments. This position is perfect for those who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, particularly those with special needs such as autism and ADHD.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, including community support and community access.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well‑being of clients.
• Supporting meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition for clients.
• Assisting with mobility and transportation needs, including helping clients move safely within their environment.
• Maintaining a clean and safe living space for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Collaborating with other caregivers and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in supporting children and young adults to develop social skills and build their self‑esteem.
• Knowledge of autism, ADHD, FASD practices and techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience with meal preparation and understanding dietary needs of various clients.
• Familiarity with challenged young adults care principles is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self‑motivated in independent situations.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
