Position: Telecom Tower Rigger – All Levels
We are currently seeking all levels of Telecom Tower Technician to join the Wesbell team in performing all tasks required to fully civilly construct wireless equipment on rooftop and tower environments.
Specific Duties &
Responsibilities Include:
Assemble or erect communication towers using construction or rigging equipmentCheck antenna positioning to ensure specified azimuths or mechanical tilts and adjust as necessaryClimb communications towers to install, replace or repair antennas or auxiliary equipment used to transmit and receive radio wavesInstall all necessary transmission equipment components including antennas or antenna mounts, surge arrestors, transmission lines, connectors or tower mounted amplifiers (TMA’s)Install, connect or test underground or above ground grounding systemsPerform maintenance or repair work on existing tower equipment using hand or power toolsPerform general ground procedures, such as assembly of Microwave Dishes and steel structure assembly.Any other duties that may be assignedEducation (Theoretical Training):
College, GED, vocational or technical training preferredANRITSU SITE MASTER Vendor Training or 2 years experience with ANRITSU product/equipment/technologyAbility to properly use coaxial prep toolsAndrews coaxial connectorization course and/or trainingStrong knowledge of dish orientation and path alignmentStrong knowledge of antenna azimuth and tilt
Job Requirements /
Experience:
Must be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaceMust have hands on experience with tower erection, antenna, dish, RF transmission line, copper and fiber systems (not required for Green Level)Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and engineered drawingsGood understanding of wireless communication systemsGood understanding of industry standard installation guidelinesGood knowledge of the operation and safety requirements of power toolsGeneral working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeManual dexterity and mechanical aptitude is requiredGood understanding of electricity and electrical safetyMust have a valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstractMay require use of personal vehicleMay be required to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customerMust be a team player and possess a positive and professional attitude towards work and othersFluent in English, written and oral
