Position OverviewWe are currently seeking 18 motivated individuals to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse, rewarding projects that include commercial buildings, restoration sites, residential features, and masonry repairs.
Responsibilities- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete block, glass block and various types of stone for new build and repair/restoration projects.
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing to walls or other surfaces.
- Remove and replace existing masonry work for repairs.
- Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures.
- Work at heights on scaffolding, swing stages or hydro mobiles.
- Perform general site clean up.
- Handle weight up to 35kg (75lbs).
- Other activities as directed.
- 1 to 2 years experience as Bricklayer.
- Have a Provincial Trade Certification or Red Seal Certification or be able to demonstrate an equivalent skill level.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Communication skills in English.
- Certification asset:
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS), First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection.
- Available to start immediately.
- Union position; wages and benefits per the Collective Agreement; union dues required.
- Initial 120 days probationary period with wage range $39.47–$43.85/hour plus 10% holiday and vacation pay; post‑probation wage $43.85/hour.
- Benefits include Health Care Plan, Vision Care Benefits, Paramedical Services Coverage, Dental Plan, Pension Plan, Life Insurance, Disability Benefit per the Collective Agreement.

- Must supply own tools, steel‑toed safety boots, and hard hat; other safety equipment provided as required.

- Great hours, Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day (7:00am–3:15pm), with 32–40 hours/week depending on conditions; overtime may be requested on occasion.
Our office is located at 7615‑40 Street NE, Calgary, AB T3J 4H2. Worksites will be around Calgary and surrounding area, and may include some projects throughout the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.
