Utility Field Service Electrician Apprentice - Tesla

As a Commercial Field Service Apprentice Electrician on the Tesla Energy Commercial Operations Team, you’ll work under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Electrician. This full-time role is focused on maintaining commercial PV, energy storage, and supercharging stations. While not all electrical disciplines are required, strong candidates should be capable of performing a variety of tasks including distribution power, lighting, and low voltage work.

You’ll assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment such as power distribution, transformers, and inverters. This is a great opportunity to grow your experience with advanced energy systems while contributing to Tesla’s mission of sustainable energy.

As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll be expected to support operations under licensed supervision. Tasks include working with electrical systems up to 1000

VDC, interpreting schematics and blueprints, and maintaining critical infrastructure.

You’ll perform hands-on work servicing EV charging stations, battery energy storage systems, and other electrical components. Success in this role requires technical skill, a positive attitude, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.

Job Type: Commercial Energy – Full-time

To be eligible for this role, you must be a Registered 309A apprentice through Skilled Trades Ontario (or Industry Training Authority in Vancouver). A solid understanding of basic electrical theory and Ohm’s law is essential.

You should have:

• 1–2 years of electrical experience, including installation
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Hands-on experience using construction tools and testing equipment
• Comfort working with low voltage circuits and AC power
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on lifts and perform physical tasks
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork attitude
