Concrete Finishers

S. I. Concrete Corp. is looking for (6) permanent F/T Concrete Finishers for its busy construction company to work in its operations in Calgary and its surrounding areas, in the province of Alberta.

S.I Concrete prefers candidates with (3) years of experience as a skilled concrete finisher in the commercial and residential settings; less experience will be considered upon demonstration of the appropriate level of skills. The company is committed to hiring candidates who can work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and energetic environment. Flexible and willing to work shifts.

Candidates must possess a clean criminal record. No education required. Language of work:
English.

Benefit package offered after 3 months of employment. The package includes Medical, dental, and vision care benefits.

Salary compensation: $32.00 /hr. for 44 hours per week.

Duties:

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
• Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using a straightedge or float
• Give concrete surfaces the desired finishing using hand and power tools.
• Waterproof, damp-proof, and restore concrete surfaces
• Application of hardening and sealing compounds to concrete surfaces.
• Preparation of concrete formwork.
